Throughout the year, Alba covers the full range of mountain activities. In the spring, summer, and autumn we are walking up and down the West Coast of Scotland, the best mountain walking in Britain. We also offer scrambling and rock climbing in some of the most stunning scenery around.
We can always organise a trip just for you. If you have a team, let us know. We will try to arrange a trip just for you, tailored to your needs and aspirations. Private Guiding is also always available if you have a particular ambition. We have kayaked across lochs, biked up tracks and stayed in bothies to access remote mountains. Whether it be bagging the most remote Corbett or difficult access hill, or climbing the route of your dreams, we can help.
Alba Mountaineering has always tried to help its clients to achieve their ambitions. Skye is a popular venue and we have 30 years of experience at everything from doing the odd difficult top to a full house of Skye Munros.
Other areas we commonly visit are Glencoe and Ben Nevis. The Aonach Eagach ridge is a popular challenge, as is Ben Nevis our highest mountain. Torridon, Kintail, and - further north - Fisherfield and An Teallach are all magnificent walking areas.
Need to improve your rope work? Then, we can help, with advanced rope work and lead climbing coaching days. Also crevasse rescue and self-rescue techniques.
I am a recognised trainer for Scottish Mountain Rescue and have helped train many of the mountain rescue teams in Scotland. This can involve many aspects of rope work, security on steep ground, and advanced rope techniques. If you would like assistance in rescue team training, then please give me a call.
